Brief Overview

Catherine’s research investigates the cognitive and social consequences of trauma and disease in neurological populations, and identity-cognition relationships in ageing. She is interested in how to optimise people's social connection experiences and has contributed to development of tools (e.g., social identity mapping) and led on development of programs (most notably, Groups 4 Health) that build knowledge and skills to support people in identifying the right activities for them and how they can be best harnessed as resources to support a person’s health.

Primary Areas of Research

Social identity and the social determinants of health; the impact of social-group based interventions; developing social interventions; neurological disorders and memory rehabilitation.
