About Us

Health and Wellbeing at Cheltenham Community Centre

Cheltenham Community Centre (CCC) offers a welcoming place where people can improve their physical health, mental wellbeing, and social connections through a wide range of classes, activities, and events. From exercise and movement groups to creative workshops and social meetups, our programs are designed to strengthen community and help people feel happier, healthier, and more connected.

Our Social Prescribing Approach

CCC is proud to be part of a growing movement in community health known as social prescribing connecting people to non-medical supports that improve wellbeing. Rather than focusing solely on clinical treatment, social prescribing recognises the importance of social connection, purpose, and participation in improving quality of life.

Through our Health and Wellbeing Program, participants are linked with friendly staff who listen, understand, and help them find activities, classes, or groups that suit their interests and personal goals.

Our Health and Wellbeing Coordinator
The first point of contact for new participants, the Community Connector takes the time to listen, learn about each persons needs, and introduce them to suitable activities or groups. They provide a warm welcome and ongoing support to ensure people feel comfortable joining in.
