Volunteering roles are flexible and include both in-person and remote options (e.g., phone calls, online events). Many activities take place in accessible community venues, and roles can be tailored to suit volunteers with mobility or other accessibility needs.

Most volunteer activities are held in accessible community venues located near public transport routes, including bus services throughout the Northern Beaches. Parking is available at many locations, such as visitor parking at the Frenchs Forest office and community centres. Roles are also flexible, with some delivered remotely via phone or online, reducing the need for travel.

Target Audience:

Yes, the program caters to people in the Northern Beaches region who are lonely or isolated due to family circumstances, mental or physical health challenges, or disability. Volunteers also support aged care residents and individuals needing social connection or practical help.

Eligibility Criteria:

Anyone over the age of 18 can become a volunteer, subject to a criminal record check. No specific cultural or age group is targeted, and no referral is required. Volunteers are matched based on availability, interests, and local proximity to those they support.
